Health insurance, explained the way a friend would explain it
I help in two ways.
Finding and enrolling in a plan. I'll compare individual and family plans, check whether you qualify for savings, and help you enroll. This is free to you.
Understanding the plan you already have. If your plan reads like a foreign language, a bill makes no sense, or a claim was denied, I'll walk you through it. If your agent sent you here, I won't try to sell you a different plan, and when it's time to enroll, I'll send you back to your agent.
What we offer
We offer the education in terms and examples that are easy for anyone to understand.
What kind of plan do I have?
PPO, HMO, EPO, INDEMNITY…WHAT EVEN IS THAT?
Those letters mostly tell you which doctors you can see and whether you need a referral first. I'll look at your card, tell you which type you have, and explain what that means the next time you need care.
What will I actually pay?
Deductibles, Copays, Coinsurance, Out of Pocket, Premiums, Networks
Your premium is what you pay each month to keep the plan. Everything else is what you pay when you actually get care. I'll walk you through your plan with real examples, like what an ER visit or a new prescription would cost you.
Why is my care delayed or denied?
Referrals, Preauthorizations and Denials
Many plans need a referral or approval before certain care, and sometimes they say no to something you need. A denial isn't always the final answer. I'll explain why it happened and what your options are, or advocate for you.
Is a Christian health care sharing ministry the same as insurance?
Health care sharing ministries
They can cost less, but they aren't insurance. Members share each other's medical bills, and payment isn't guaranteed. Many limit what they'll share for pre-existing conditions. I'll walk you through how they really work so you know what you're signing up for.
Do I need extra coverage on top of my health plan?
Cancer, Specified Disease and Accident plans
These supplemental plans pay cash directly to you if you're diagnosed or injured. You can use it for your deductible, rent or groceries. They don't replace health insurance, but they can soften the blow of a big bill. I'll help you decide if one makes sense for you.
What's the difference between term and whole life?
Term vs. Whole Life
Term life covers you for a set number of years and usually costs less. Whole life covers you for your entire life and builds cash value, but costs more each month. I'll explain which fits your family and your budget.
What services are offered?

Already have a plan, or trying to choose between a few? I'll compare them side by side and show you how each one would pay based on your health history and what you might need down the road. I won't push you toward any plan. My job is to give you the full picture so you can make the best choice for you.

Got a big bill you don't understand? Has your doctor ordered care that's confusing, or that you don't agree with? I can help you negotiate prices before a procedure, or push back on a bill afterward. I'll also explain the plan of care your doctor chose and help you put together the right questions to ask. Advocacy starts as low as $15, depending on how complex your case is.

If you don't have coverage yet, I can help you find a plan, whether that's an ACA plan or something different. If you were referred by another agent, I'll send you right back to them to enroll. Either way, you'll understand exactly what you're buying before you sign up.
